Purpose
The purpose of United Methodist Men is to provide
fellowship, spiritual growth and programs depicting examples of personal
commitment for the men of Christ United Methodist Church.
United Methodist Men at Christ United Methodist
Church was organized on October 15, 1959 with the encouragement of Rev. Norman
Parr. Mr. Paul W. Cope was the first president.
On January 23, 1968, during the presidency of Dr.
Craig George and during the second year for Rev. Orland Ruby at Christ Church,
the group was chartered by the National Board of the Laity as an official local
chapter of the United Methodist Men.
At the present time, United Methodist Men's group is
inactive.
