Meeting Times
The United Methodist Women meet at the church as a unit the
first Tuesday of each month, September through June. A
business meeting is followed by a program, refreshments and
social time. The unit is divided into three circles that
meet monthly:
Dorcas Circle
meets the third Monday of each month at Copeland Oaks with lunch at 12:30pm and meeting at 1:00pm.
May Smyth Circle
meets in members' homes on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm
M & M Circle
meets in members' homes on the third Monday of each month at 7:00pm.
Purpose
The group supports global ministries through United
Methodist Women and a number of local outreach projects including:
Church Women United, Community Dinners at the Neighborhood Center,
Stuckey Family Interfaith Child Development Center,
and the Alliance Area Domestic Violence Shelter.
Fundraisers include twice-a-year basement sales held in May
and October and an annual Baked Potato and Salad luncheon in March.
Church Women United
meet January through June, September through December on the
first Friday of the month at 1pm. In March is World Day of
Prayer with a noon program; In May is the Friendship Luncheon at noon.
Meetings are held in area churches.
